A soundtrack for the brand's new line as well as its accompanying documentary series
We were brought in at the ground level of this campaign as the vibe and soundtrack would need to be unified, with each of the 4 pieces build off of each other while needing to file like part of the same cohesive body of work. We first created an EP of songs before any video was shot, enabling the production team to engage with the potential soundtracks during pre-production, to experiment with which piece/s would most inform the tone of the project, and vice versa. This process created a 2-way creative "conversation" that ended up taking inspiration from various pieces and creating a tone that we could not have achieved in a more isolated manner. Once the rough piece was assembled from all the various parts, we would work with in various vocalists and communicate our progress in a similar manner.
The final product was both score and song evoking the brand identity as well as creating a thoughtful ambience that would act as a canvas for the interviews and dialogue. Deliverables would include the full campaign video, as well as "music-only" edits to play online, in-store, and on the brand websites.
